Landscape & Scenery

Namibia

Namibia possesses some of the most breathtaking scenery in Africa with deserts, sand dunes, bush, salt pans and rocky peaks dotting its landscape.

What is really striking is the sheer variety of landscapes, spanning crimson sand dunes of Sossusvlei, the serpentine chasm of Fish River Canyon, shipwrecks of the Skeleton Coast, rugged mountains of the Great Escarpment and the acacia-studded Kalahari. There is also no shortage of wildlife, with the Etosha National Park brimming with lions, rhinos and elephants, with leopards being more elusive.

This diversity in scenery makes it an adventurous and exciting country to travel overland, and being one of the world’s least populated countries, lonely desert roads and wide-open spaces abound.
